“[W]e believe that strengthening the trust, and therefore the working relationship, between employees and their supervisors is likely to be the most effective strategy for increasing an agency’s ability to accomplish its mission.”

Teaching  “TRUST”   in  EEO  Training

The focus of all of our classes is to create better understanding among managers, supervisors and employees about the value and necessity of creating trusting workplace relationships in order to build highly effective, high performance teams that are responsive to the needs of the organization, the individuals within the organization and the organization’s customers and clients. The end result is an organization with fully engaged employees that is empowered to meet its mission and that is able to become the “employer of choice” in its industry.

We offer a simple guarantee. In any of our classes, managers, with years of supervisory experience and numerous training classes on these topics under their belt, will come out of this class saying that this is the best course of its kind that they have ever taken.

In our basic courses, we cover Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967; the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991; and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008. We customize every training program to the needs of the client and the client’s workplace. Following is a list of some of our courses.

Employee Workplace Rights & Skills for Highly Effective Workplace Relationships

Most employers leave it to their supervisors to teach employees effective workplace skills. This proactive course was requested by our clients who wanted to give their employees ownership over their own careers. This course teaches employees the basics of employee rights in the workplace. More significantly, it teaches employees how to recognize workplace tensions when they first begin to develop and then teaches the skills that employees can use to resolve these tensions and develop stronger relationships with co-workers, supervisors and customers and clients.

Advanced Skills in EEO for Managers & Supervisors (1-day class)

A prerequisite for this class are the classes in “Management and the Law” and “Harassment Prevention for Managers and Supervisors.” This class is designed to go beyond a basic understanding of the law and basic communication skills.

This course is built on the principles of Daniel Coleman’s “Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace,” Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” Ken Blanchard’s “One Minute Manager” and “Whale Done,” and Chris Irwin’s “Horses Don’t Lie: Management and Leadership Principles Derived from Equine Assisted Professional Development.” This course provides managers and supervisors with the skills and tools they need to build highly effective relationships in the workplace. By creating greater awareness, building trust, improving communications and interpersonal skills, this course enables managers and supervisors to work effectively with high performers as well as disgruntled and disengaged low performers and teaches them specific skills for turning low performers into high performers. The result is a workplace in which potential EEO complaints and other workplace grievances are identified and resolved by managers and supervisors long before they develop into real workplace problems.
